Autumn-winter fashion and trends - separates are the way

My week so far has been as mixed to say the least.  Friday night I decided to wear skyscraper heels to our friends 10th wedding anniversary party, erm HUGE error, by Sunday my back gave up on me after threatening there was something up and me wholeheartedly ignoring the warnings, continuing to carry my three year-old on demand.  Well I've learnt my lesson and here I lie, propped up on cushions unable to sort out the increasing piles of washing and look after my boys.  A good opportunity to catch-up on blogging! The good part of my mixed week was meeting Lisa from 'The Little Frock Shop' in Surbiton on Monday before becoming sofa-bound.  Like me she sells on pre-loved designer clothes at her pop-up sales in Rubicon Bar, Surbiton.  I've just contributed  a few Mulberry bags from a recent client wardrobe edit so if you're interested in pre-loved luxury bags and clothes get down to her sale tomorrow, http://www.facebook.com/TheLittleFrockShopSurbiton.

Autumn is pretty well established now so time to look again for some styles for Autumn/Winter 2012.  What are the key pieces? Trends include baroque and leather but there is currently huge trend in separates, pushing the easy-to-wear dress aside and requiring a more creative and thoughtful approach.

I've pulled together some gorgeous autumn items on pinterest that will have you looking and feeling fabulous but that are practical for all us mums and easy to run around in. I did stick some wedge boots on there but wedges don't really count as heels :)
