3 Spring Trends - 2015

3 Spring Trends

This season it is all about the 70's. Teals, rust browns and oranges in soft suede and leather and tassels as far as the eye can see. The trick with the 70's trend is not to be too literal about it or you veer into fancy dress territory. Take a denim A-line skirt and pair it with a beautiful silk blouse and you will look fabulous, pair it with a knitted tank-top and a pointed collar polyester shirt and you are Jane from Rod, Jane and Freddy, a total Bungle. Hope you get the reference!:)

So, onto the top 3 wearable trends this Spring. Not all 70's infuenced, just key items that will enhance your wardrobe for the season. If you want to get some inspiration for the 70's trend, have a look at my Pinterest board here.

1. Denim

An umbrella term! But denim in all shapes and sizes is huge this season. A-Line or Pencil skirts, denim dresses, jackets but the KEY item is FLARES. Flares are totally back and they are actually very flattering. Not everyone can get away with skinny jeans but pretty much everyone can get away with a slight flare. Alexa Chung has done an excellent range for American brand AG Denim.

2. Fringing

London Fashion Week is just coming to a close and during the shows fringing was everywhere especially in the Burberry show. & Other Stories have some gorgeous fringed bags if you want to take a small piece of the trend. Other ways are on boots (BIG at Burberry) or a maybe a fringed suede jacket:

3. Military Jackets

Military jackets are the bomb in my opinion. Also known as rock chick jackets they are very smart but edgy too so can NEVER be dull!  They give you that pulled together look but with a slightly rebellious slant. Perfect. I've seen a very good cropped army jacket in Zara or you can go all out on this from Gucci:
