Autumn Trend - Studio 54

The 70's Trend Continues for Autumn with Studio 54!

 Autumn Trends

Of all the Autumn trends, Heritage and Studio 54/70's are my favourites. In my last blog I focused on the gothic/victoriana trend but unless you love black that's quite limited. Studio 54 however is full of glamour, shine and rich colour, much more up my street!

Pussy Bow Blouses

One big part of this trend is the pussy-bow blouse. Not just for the office, a satin or silk one of these will look great with your jeans or teamed with an A-line suede skirt. This one is by Tory Birch and available at Harvey Nichols:

Goodness me I do love a jumpsuit. A couple of years back they seemed like a trend piece, a fleeting moment but they keep on coming back. This one by Roksanda Illinic at Harvey Nichols below is totally 'Studio 54', look at those colours and the cut, all finished off with a rose gold belt - a total showstopper! I would wear this to a winter wedding and to Christmas parties or if you are having a big birthday (30th, 40th, 50th?) this would be really fantastic! At £1,130, it's an investment (ahem) but fear not, Topshop have loads like the one below at a mere £54!

Platforms are always here but this season they are the 'going-out' shoe to have. Brilliant because they give you height but without the tottery-ness of a stilletto.

This is definitely a trend to remember for the upcoming party season but for day-to-day, pussy-bow blouses with a suede skirt or jeans will do very nicely.
