Workwear Wardrobe Updates
Hot from the shops
Having an organised wardrobe with easy outfits is essential for any working woman or man. Who wants to stand in front of their wardrobe every morning struggling to pull an outfit together when you've got a big presentation or important client meeting to think about? What you need is a great selection of key items that work together, giving you a range of easy outfits to throw on fast. When you look good you'll have a spring in your step and others will pick up on that confidence.
I've kept my beady eye on what's new in the shops for workwear this season and picked ten of the best items that will work together...
This is so beautiful on. A very easy crepe loose fitting dress with a great neckline in classic navy.
Pair this dress with these brilliant suede nude courts that will go with EVERYTHING. Much cooler than patent nude court shoes, nude suede is a more current and stylish choice.
Love these relaxed, cropped, stitch detail trousers from Whistles Limited Edition range. Would look look great with either the Equipment cream signature silk blouse and red heels or the gorgeous pink Gucci pumps below in a Corporate office. Pink is THE colour of the season and these shoes are beauties but at £565 they are pretty top-end! Topshop do great versions of this style of shoe for under £100.
The trousers would also work as an outfit in a smart/casual office paired with the incredibly soft Whistles V neck relaxed knit below.
This jacket from Zara is an absolute winner. It would look brilliant at the weekend too with ripped jeans and the Gucci shoes above, bumping up the cost per wear value of the shoes and making them more justifiable! The things I tell myself...
This jacket could be Isabel Marant with the double breasted cut and check pattern. Beautiful. Wear with the burgandy elasticated crepe trousers below from Whistles and clash the burgandy (in a good way) with the PINK GUCCI SHOES above (more and more appealing) or the nude suede court shoes above.
Every professional woman needs a smart dress. One that will be appropriate for client facing meetings or for presentations that looks polished, authoritative and pulled together. LK Bennett have great tailored dresses that will do the job nicely. Wear with leopard print heels if you want to ramp it up or keep it classic and understated with the nude suede courts.
So often when I do a wardrobe edit I see terrible handbags! Dated in style and scruffy and worn-out. Having a bag like that or scuffed shoes will drag down your outfit so it's worth making sure your bag (and shoes) look good. This one from Cos is very contemporary and is only £79.
