I bumped into one of my friends today who was lamenting the fact she had gone to a party on Saturday night and felt dull in her outfit. She had gone to a local club night - the kind of place where people get really glammed up. Like Christmas; when you pull out the stops more than usual and raise the style stakes.

This thing is, if everyone else around you looks fabulous and you are in the middle feeling a bit bland it just isn’t very nice! It would ruin my night actually, but maybe I’m a bit more extreme about such things - I do know for a fact it affects social confidence though. So it got me thinking, it’s high time to get on with my Christmas edit.

I’m quite straightforward (in many ways :)) and in the fact that I love a party dress. My aforementioned friend however is not a dress girl so needs different party options. In that case, I’d got for a top and a skirt or the old faithful combination - a pair of jeans and a REALLY glam top.

Without further ado- here is my Christmas party outfit edit. Christmas party outfits for 2021:

Kicking off with a Satin Skirt and soft knit. Not exactly full-on glam but we’re not all disco divas - more of that below. You could of course replace the skirt with a very glam sequin one to ramp it right up! The satin skirt is low-key glam and this outfit is very wearable when it’s freezing.

Moving on further down to lots of sequins and glam dresses, accessories, boots and shoes. Hoping it gives lots of inspo for the coming weeks of parties.

Christmas Party Outfit 2021

A sparkly skirt with a jumper really is an easy solution to Christmas Party Outfits. Jeans and a nice dress or the classic dress.

This Zara Tux goes over dresses, or skirts or with jeans - a great piece!

If you can’t wear a fringed dress at Christmas when can you? Avoid candles.

Queens of Archive is my current favourite. 70’s inspired vintage glam dresses.

Beautiful in real life you’ll have to trust me on this! Fabulous.

OK I admit the above is a wee bit out there for most. If you prefer a classier look then go for the Zara tux above, paired with skinny black jeans, a cami and these boots below or similar glitter boots. A lovely festive outfit.

Zara black sequin boots - wear with skinny jeans and a blazer

Rainbow glitter ruffle dress - sparkly and a flattering shape

This is slightly a-line so if that shape suits you this is a good sparkly option with killer heels.

If you prefer a fitted silhouette this Whistles dress is great.

This is so flattering on apple shapes. Claudia Winkleman wore this on Strictly Come Dancing recently.

Just popping next door for drinks? Chuck this on over a jumper and you’ll look instantly ready. Zara have some great accessories for Xmas.

The necklace above too low key? Try this Zara one instead.

These sock boots are great with long skirts or trousers

Platform heels are great for dancing and go well with the Queens of Archive dress - a cool vintage vibe.
