Rixo red dress - similar to the All Saints below but with sleeves!

I am in holiday mode today seeing as I will be ‘jetting off’ to the New Forest tomorrow… jetting off HA! No chance of that this year, seriously, I personally wouldn’t want to get on a plane this year so I am perfectly happy enjoying the beauty of the New Forest. We’re only managing a four day break this year but the weather is set to be scorching so it’s set my mind onto what dresses to pack.

There will be a little bit of beach, a pub and a restaurant involved so I want easy dresses that aren’t too over the top. I also wanted to find a few dresses that work for curves and boobs because it’s frustrating to order things on the internet then find they don’t work. I’d say 80% of my clients are curvy because that’s just normal so I’ve focussed on shapes that work on boobs and curves.

If you want some more suggestions, head to my Pinterest board where I’ve put a wider selection of summer dresses for curves that are in the shops right now.

  1. All Saints Dalia Dress

This is pretty stunning, V neck so will look good on big boobs and fitted at the waist so will flatter a curvy body shape. Also the ruffled hem will sit beautifully over curves. This is one for going out for dinner on the evening or heading to the pub. Only downside is it only goes up to a size 14 but I have other options on my Pinterest board and below too. If you prefer sleeves then the Rixo Dress above does the job nicely - currently 60% off at Net-a-Porter.

2. Loose and flowing for the beach and bar

If you’re heading to Cornwall this year or somewhere further afield then these loose dresses will be so easy. The colours are absolutely perfect for summer - these dresses are All Saint’s best-seller this year.

I wouldn’t normally recommend going loose on curves because sometimes it can make you look bigger than you actually are and fitted actually works better and is often more flattering. The thing with these is, because they have such a low front and are sleeveless, the eye will be drawn to the decolletage and the arms. They also scoop right down at the back too which is a really nice feature and again, summery! Tummy and hips etc.. will be covered so this will be a stylish but not self-conscious summer option.

3. HUSH floral relaxed maxi dress

Hush do the best selection of easy summer dresses and go up to size 16. Worth checking out their whole website and they are a very regular feature on my blog because they just get how most of us want to dress nowadays.

I would also suggest heading over to H&M to check out their summer dresses. I’ve put a couple on my Pinterest board. Cheap and cheerful so perfect for throwing on, on hot summer days.

Enjoy your summer holidays if you are managing to get away and get in touch if there’s anything, in particular, you’d like me to cover on my blog.
